Correspon a anotacions manuscrites d'alguns capítols de l'apartat "Edad Moderna" dins l’obra “Polis: historia universal”. Entre els fulls amb text manuscrit hi ha intercalades pàgines impreses a doble cara d’una edició anterior publicada amb anotacions manuscrites als marges. Inclou una carta manuscrita de Jaume Vicens Vives adreçada a Albert del Castillo i Lluís Pericot on els hi fa alguns comentaris i els hi suggereix algunes modificacions per a la sisena edició d'aquesta obra
