Engler agraeix l'interès de Joan per la seva edició del "Cours de linguistique générale" de F.de Saussure. Joan Ferraté vol traduir l'obra al castellà i Engler li dona consells i referències per a una millor adaptació. Li diu que potser farà una edició abreujada, però que en aquests moments no s'hi pot dedicar perquè ha d'acabar l'edició crítica. En tot cas, s'ofereix a examinar projectes concrets que li faci arribar Ferraté
Engler thanks Ferraté for his interest in Engler's edition of "Cours de linguistique générale" by F. de Saussure. Joan Ferraté wants to translate the work into Spanish and Engler gives him some advices and references for a better adaptation. He tells him he may publish an abridged edition, but he cannot do it at the moment, as he must finish the critical edition first. Anyway, he tells Ferraté that he will be pleased to examine any concrete projects, that Ferraté may send him
